Tapiola Village Apartments

Manager screwed me from the start, letting a tenant move into a recently vacated apt. & moving me into her old apt., which was next door to a loud, rude neighbor. Complaints got me nowhere, the manager always sided with people that broke the rules & I just had to live with it. When the apts. got a new owner in 2022, they did an unneccessary renovation that lasted 7 months & ruined the place. A board member was in charge of the reno, and made the place unsafe for seniors and decorated ultra-modern - an ego trip for her and ruined the place for the tenants. She mis-managed the reno too, resulting in $54,000 in repairs, which was passed on to the residents in 2 large rent increases in a year! Such a shame, the apts. werent bad when I moved in. The manager Laura is a Karen and is very nosy, she is not understanding, rude and crossing the line more times often than not. I visit my mom with my grandchildren and do laundry; she knocks on the door and just walks in without even giving anyone a chance to answer, saying someone pulled an emergency string. No string had been pulled as I had eyes on my children the whole time.

Place has gone downhill. They raised the rent recently and only gave the seniors a month to gather up their life and move. My parent rent was raised a couple hundred dollars and they are on SSI. If you are well off then it’s not an issue but for those who had to move it was tough and difficult on everyone. I know at least four to five others who had to move quickly. Plus the maintenance people rotate and never stay because they are underpaid and understaffed Just say no I could go on and on Just find a better place there are so many better options for your loved ones.

Rude Management if I could give below 1 star I would, saying management is rude is an understatement, constant harassment goes on especially management giving dirty looks. If you're looking for a great community this place is not for you.
