AVOID this place at all cost!!!! TLDR: 1. Threatened to kick us out because we said no pre-moveout carpet inspection, even though it is agreed on paper previously and signed by me, my roommates, and the leasing office. Picture attached in this review. 2. Charged us almost $2400 after we move out for “wear and tear” in addition to $1100 deposit 3. We paid rent + utility timely the first day of EVERY month, still charged $550 extra after move out cuz “we did not pay for utility for the last 3 months of stay”. 4. My housemates and I had consistently poor experiences with billing from Tanglewood. Throughout our lease, the billing platform frequently showed discrepancies between statements and charges, leaving us either overpaying or underpaying nearly every month. When underpayments occurred, we received late fees or warnings unless we went to the office in person to sort things out. At the end of the lease, not only did we not receive our security deposit back, but we were billed additional charges. The move-out inspection noted only “some white residue in the oven” and “touch-up paint needed,” yet we were charged $1,000 for paint, $100 for carpet cleaning, and $320 for house cleaning. These were base turnover fees with no indication of excessive damage or extra cleaning needed. We were told only $

I lived for 3 years. It is very comfortable to live in Tanglewood, and the layout and the drinks in the study room and the office are so good. Also, I really love the gas stove and the in-unit washer & dryer inside the apartment. The environment around the apartment is quiet and beautiful. I enjoyed walking through the small roads among the apartment complexes, or looking outside and drawing the scenery outside while sitting next to the floor-to-ceiling window. It is very relaxing for me. :)

These are the best apartments in Davis. Close to campus, market, restaurants... The management is extremely efficient and responsive, always on top of every little detail. The swimming pool area and spa is always clean and ready to use. We love that is is a quiet place with great facilities (great gym too!). A plus is also how they organize small events for Halloween, Thanksgiving (turkey raffle), and even a Santa letter from the North Pole for those who have little kids. My daughter loves to send her letter to Santa and receive a letter for her directly from the North Pole! These details make this place unique. Cannot imagine living in another place in Davis. Do NOT rent here! Worst apartment ever. I hired my own professional cleaners and followed all their move-out rules. Tanglewood unfairly deducted my security deposit and even charged extra after I moved out! And the charge was completely unreasonable. Avoid this place at all costs!
