Take Me Home Properties

An overall mixed experience. The staff worked with getting a rental for us when moving to Missouri when many companies did not want o help because of farther out move-in date. The staff was very friendly and helpful...when you get to speak with them. The communication is really the only con about renting from Take Me Home. In most cases not hearing from the rental company/landlord is a good thing but they rarely answered emails. Overall getting information from them was like getting teeth pulled, which is a shame because when you do speak with the staff they are nice and helpful. Maybe the work load is too much and they are stretched thin between properties. The move in and move out process was easy and smooth. I would not recommend renting through Take Me Home Properties. My roommate and I have had the hardest time contacting and getting responses from our property managers. Multiple maintenance requests were left unanswered. At move in, we could tell that they did not clean the dog pee up from the previous owners and the fence stayed broken the entire year we lived there (our dog escaped out of the fence multiple times because of this). Please read your lease. We made the mistake of overlooking the part where we were required to give 60 days notice (we gave 30) that we were not renewing. We never received a notification or reminder that the deadline was approaching OR that the deadline had passed. We were required to pay an extra month of rent even though our lease ended and we lived somewhere

No one ever answers calls, Emails, Or returns calls. 3 days ago my family applied to a property $40 dollars of our own money and no one has reached out despite us filling out a tour, 2 voicemails, 7 calls, our application and our emails. And still no response. Better off going with any other managerial company in the 417. Can't imagine having an emergency with a property and being unable to contact anyone for days.

I never thought that handing over the headaches that come with owning a rental and trying to manage it yourself would be so easy to hand over. Very much worth not having to deal with the start to finish details that go into renting out a home. Local business that genuinely cares about their owners and their tenants is extremely hard to find. Highly recommend!

At the start of the application process take me home was professional but the reason for the 1 star was during the process the agents decided to stop responding and ghosted without saying why. It would have been more professional to call or at least message even if it would have been a no.
