I have worked with Suncoast Realty and Rental Management for several years now and have been very satisfied with everyone I have worked with during that time. I originally purchased a single family home that was to be a rental for a couple of years and would then become our home. Those plans changed and that property is still one of my best rentals. At the time I bought that property we also had rentals in California and Virginia. I decided to do 1031 exchanges with those properties since Florida is a much more landlord and renter friendly state. I worked closely with Suncoast, primarily with Steve, he was a tremendous help in identifying and acquiring properties within the time limits imposed by a 1031 exchange. I have been with Suncoast for several years after a friend recommended them for a rental I bought in Vero Beach. I own properties in several states, so deal with quite a few management companies. Honestly, I think Suncoast strikes a great balance. They take care of the day to day without me having to think about it which is my goal. When something does come up they contact me and it gets taken care of. They recommended useful improvements, like replacing carpet with tile and adding storm shutters. They presented the options without pressuring me and let me decide. They are not the highest tech manager I have, but I get a nice yearly summary that makes doing my taxes on this property easier than any of my other ones where I have to compile everything from monthly statements.

I have to give Lynn and Suncoast Realty 5 stars ! After the debacle with the last rental agent - working with Lynn has been a pure joy. She took no time at all to get up to speed on how I like my rental property maintained. And she has a list of people that get any work done that we need promptly and professionally. She checks in from time to time to let me know how things are with the tenant and see how life has been treating me. Nice touch. The office is a wonderful compliment to Lynn's work. They get statements to me monthly with full documentation to any expenditures needed. Any hiccoughs in the beginning were handled with prompt action. When the renter did not pay on time, she worked diligently with us to resolve the issue in a timely manner. She was always prompt to keep us informed of any maintenance issues, even going so far as to recommend a source for quality repairs at a discount.
