I’m not one to usually leave reviews but Mrs. Heather comes off rude. I came in there politely and professionally to pick up something for my new home and she immediately gave me attitude. She asked my lot/unit number and when I told her she looked at me like I was stupid and said that that wasn’t a thing. Besides that, everything went fine. It’s unprofessional and not pleasing to be around when you just have a client coming in to grab what they were asked of. She needs to learn to smile and treat young adults nicely.

We haven’t even moved our daughter in to her rental and it’s a nightmare. Against my better judgment, I allowed our daughter to rent from Summit. Summit has a horrible reputation and it definitely lives up to that reputation. Shortly after my daughter signed her lease her unit changed ownership, which required a new lease. Her new lease went from 12 months to 10.5 month. My daughter received one lease, I received another and Ivey, who is the contact person it seems for summit, kept pushing me to sign an inaccurate lease. Being this was a legal binding document I was not willing to sign until everything matched. We finally got everything situated and the new leases were signed. Fast forward, my daughter was told she could likely move in at the beginning of August, then was told she couldn’t

Update: My daughter asked to see where in the lease she was responsible for lawn care. There was nothing in the lease. She was told when it was listed it didn’t say lawn care was included so she is responsible. Ridiculous. Stay away from this management company. This was the move in condition of the unit that my daughter moved into. Went to the office several times but management refused to help as it was an “older unit”. Also sprung unknown costs on them that weren’t in the lease. (Ie lawn care.) And forgot about needed services that needed to be turned on for move in. (Ie gas). So unprofessional.

Summit Management is, without a doubt, one of the worst aspects of living in the otherwise charming town of Oxford. It’s incredibly frustrating—and frankly unacceptable—how this company routinely takes advantage of students. From the moment we moved in, the property was in poor condition, showing a complete lack of care or responsibility on their part. Despite providing us with a subpar living space, they had no problem turning around and charging us outrageous fees upon move-out, nickel-and-diming us for every minor imperfection. Their approach is not only greedy but also deeply unfair, targeting young renters who are often navigating this process for the first time. The worst management company in Oxford, MS. Every single maintenance request has been ignored. Nothing will be fixed if you rent a place from this management company and you will never receive your security deposit back. Avoid getting a place to live from this company at all cost.
