We loved living here at first but it’s slowly turned into a nightmare. This is the first apartment where I’ve had to purchase noise canceling headphones. We’ve put in 4+ noise complaints about the extremely loud noises and music from neighboring apartments just to have our complaints ignored and nothing done about it. It’s made being in our apartment hard to enjoy and affected our quality of life. If you have considerate neighbors that’s great but if you don’t you’re SOL as the leasing office wont do much about it. Definitely not worth it to never have any peace. However if you like making noise without any consequences, this is the place for you. Update - since this review was written , I ended up getting a missed call from Naomi to discuss these issues. After several calls and messages,

You couldn’t pay me to live here again. The first year was awesome so we renewed the lease and then came to regret it. There was always some kind of animal urine or feces laying around somewhere (elevators aswell). Birds were constantly pooping on my balcony furniture due to bird feeders, I would even find bird food on my balcony at times. Walls are impossible to wipe or clean. Utility is ALWAYS months behind. Old management was good, new management is horrible. The property manager Naomi, lacks communication skills and a good attitude. When the manager won’t help and you ask for a higher up she’ll give you her contact with a name that will never be reachable and proceed to ignore you. Barb the satisfaction manager and Renee are the only helpful people there. Parking over time has also go

Awful place to live. The manager and front desk staff are rude and ill informed. Strata will charge >$1500 in rent for a one bedroom in a depressed neighborhood and then nickel and dime you for every expensive they can think of. The cost for one spare key is $50. When I first moved in we used fobs as keys. I found the exact make and model of these fobs online. They only cost $12. Strata made over 200% profit on every spare key purchased. We switched from fobs to key cards (that never work) which are cheaper than fobs, but the price of the spare key remained the same, so the profit margin is even larger. In 2022 they tried to raise overnight parking from $50 to $75 and blame it on the Allentown Parking Association (APA). After I confronted the APA about the increase, it came to light that

I was one of the original STRATA tenants back in 2016. Life circumstances have me back again. I live in a one bedroom which is perfect for me. A large bathroom, nice modern appliances, plenty of electrical outlets, decent heat and AC controls, and a balcony are my favorite features. The gym, common lounges, and safety/technology features are added perks. I evaluated four other buildings before eventually ending up back here. The staff has been friendly as well. No apartment is perfect, but I'm very satisfied overall.

Lived at Strata West for 2 years and I love the convenience of this apartment. -Very friendly and kind staff -great security system the apartment has all the necessary amenities like a huge lounge, a gym, yoga space, a study room, xerox machine (it’s important!), a dog park, terrace with a fire place. What else can I ask for!? It’s right in downtown Allentown with an easy access to pubs, restaurants, grocery places and most importantly the Allentown Transportation Center (ATC) where you get frequent transport to cities like Philly, NewYork. It’s a blend of fun and quiet. Cons: Strict lease policy
