Stone's Home Inspections

We had to rush to get our home inspection done, the time frame we were given was off. So last minute i had to hire someone quickly. This company was one of the options that popped up from my search. I'm so glad we chose them. The inspector was so patient and accommodating. He answered our questions and gave detailed explanations. He gave a thorough inspection of the home and walked me through the process of what he was looking for or things he noticed. When he left, I felt relief. The inspection gave me this peace of mind for our investment. Chris was so helpful and knowledgeable.

We had our inspection from Mr. Richard Stone back in 2015 when we bought our home @Remington Place and he saved us from buying a home at Country Club. He was honest & upfront & we knew we wouldn’t be able to afford those expensive repairs. The home we live now which Mr. Stone also inspected was reduced in price & Mr. Stone was also honest and upfront of all that we needed to repair. This one fit our budget and we bought our first home. I regret it. Please translate the one star as a "less than zero stars." Please shop around. Reply to Chris Stone: My nephew found a hole in the ceiling (NOT in your report). You said it was a "gap." Either way - there was an opening in the ceiling from dining room to attic. Thankfully the builder was kind enough to fix it. There was a hole in the wall underneath entertainment center - I found that. A hole. I'll attach a photo. Again everyone else, please do your due diligence and shop around. This is your home and I have learned that usually the inspector provides a book of items they find wrong. Please read and strongly consider these reviews.

I just want to start off with a side note. I normally do not do reviews no matter how bad the experience was with that business, because people can have “off” days. This though this warranted a warning to other people. The inspector came recommended from my realtor. My wife and I were in different states buying a home for the most part all online. Neither one of us seen the home in person just going off of the inspection report and the video and pictures from our realtor. This being said the inspector did his “job” he took pictures so in and so forth. Now if he would have went a little further in his inspection he would have noticed that the plumbing under the house was leaking. We have been here a month and just found this out. Came out to inspect our home on South Padre Island. He was able to get us scheduled quickly, showed up on time, was very professional and thorough without being alarmist, and prepared his report promptly. All in all very pleased and would use him again for sure.
