We’ve lived at Stonegate for four years, and the current management team is by far the best we’ve experienced. They’re consistently kind, highly communicative, and genuinely invested in fostering a strong sense of community. It’s clear they care—not just about the property, but about the people who live here. They also do a great job encouraging residents to care for their units and decorate for holidays, which is nice! Maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally, and the work is always done well. The apartments themselves are solidly built, even if the finishes are a bit dated. They have good bones and feel well-maintained overall. Given how expensive housing in Davis can be, Stonegate offers some of the best value for the price. It’s been an overall positive experience f

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All the staff in the office are very nice, respectful, and accommodating. They are always willing to help and make the tenants feel comfortable and heard. The maintenance is also great—they do their best to address issues promptly and keep the property in good condition. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to live, and I truly appreciate the effort of the entire team. Only need to add more gym equipment likes dumbbells so that we have more activity to do when get bored.

Management told us that we would be without hot water for over a week and has failed to compensate us. This is a housing code violation under California law. It’s winter, so the water comes out ice-cold. Many tenants are now forced to shower at friends’ houses, waste time to move hot water from the kitchen into the bathtub, stay at hotels, or risk their health by trying to clean their dishes with cold water. Here is what showering in Stonegate Apartments currently looks like: I had to go to Home Depot in Woodland to buy buckets and I have to boil water on the stove, which I then carefully move into the bathroom where I mix the hot and cold water. I’m cleaning my dishes twice to try to lower the chances of getting sick. All while paying nearly $1,900 a month (fees included) for a 1-bed

The process to move in was okay. The lady at the front desk was nice, thorough and answered all of our questions and walked us around the property. But that’s where the good ends. We just moved here yesterday and I’ve never been to a more disgusting apartment. For over $2200 a month, we came here to dust all over the base boards, cobwebs, dirty refrigerator, dust on the floors, cabinets and counters in our kitchen completely sticky. Poor paint job. In our closet it looks like they just painted over gunk and did not bother to clean it before hand. For what we are paying, this is completely unacceptable. When we addressed this with the property manager, the guy was completely clueless and kept making excuses. Saying it was cleaned by cleaners and that he did not know it was like that. As a

I lived in Stonegate Village for three years. The location was nice, quiet, and close to the west side of campus. There are plenty of bike paths to and from the campus and downtown. Overall, it's an OK place to live, but there are some things one should be aware of when considering moving here. Many aspects of this apartment complex can be improved, and left much desired. For one, my unit only had a AC unit in the dining room area. There is no central heating/AC. My unit also did not have a dishwasher. The complex is quiet for the most part, but can get loud if you live next to the pool area. The amenities are OK. The gym is tiny. The pool is cleaned every day, which is nice, but is also small. The laundry rooms are part of what makes living here difficult. Almost always, at least one ma
