Starka Property Management

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY ! - communication is horrible. Unable to contact them about renewing the lease so naturally I moved out at the end of my lease. They had NO OFFICE Listed and did not reach out about returning the keys to any office. I had to continuously contact them which I was routed to a property manager 3 hours away from our location in Miami who was not interested at all in assisting me since I was not in his area and had no clue who the property manager for Marion county area would be. I asked him to pass along the message that I had vacated the property. THREE DAYS LATER I got a text message requesting I turn the keys in to an office that I’ve never been to or heard of after I already left them at the apartment during my move out. Don't rent from a property using this company. They act like they are so on top of things when they're trying to get new residents in but then stop responding to you once they get your money. I'm only giving two stars instead of one because one of the previous employees was very helpful with lease renewal negotiations, but overall, they are barely responsive and don't seem to care about or prioritize fixing major maintenance issues like window leaks. They also don't care about keeping up with landscaping or maintaining the outside of the property. Pretty telling that the building owner replaced Starka with the previous management company after less than a year of Starka managing the property.

Starka recently took over property management and notices were not delivered regarding new rental payment info, work orders are unaddressed and being closed within software, trash has not been picked up in 2 weeks and enclosure is completely filled to the brim with garbage and trash hauler refuses to pick up. I emailed multiple contacts within the company and they refuse to reply to my inquiries. Property Owners & Asset Managers - STAY AWAY from this company at all costs.
