I purchased a home using Starboard financial and I had a best experience with them. Todd is an awesome guy and he was so helpful from day one. He helped me with my mortgage and even with documents that I needed to purchase my home. I greatly appreciate all your help and I will definitely recommend Starboard financial to everyone. 6 MONTHS!!!! That’s how long I wasted trying to get a construction loan through this bank before finally walking away. To put this in perspective, it took 4 MONTHS just to receive a disclosure and fee sheet. Nearly every single interaction—text, email, or phone call—was initiated by me. Communication from both the VP and the owner was extremely poor. On the rare occasions they did respond, they often promised to circle back with updates or next steps, and then simply never followed through. I tried to be patient and respectful, assuming there might be things happening behind the scenes. But after months of chasing updates and getting little to no communication in return, it became clear that customer service and professionalism are not priorities here. The final straw came in month six

I would recommend starboard to anyone. I used them to buy land and build on it with a construction loan and then to refinance it into a conventional loan. We hit so many hiccups during the building process and Starboard educated and helped me at each step of the way, honestly beyond the normal responsibility of a lender. They did exactly what they said they would do, and the information they gave me was accurate and timely. I can not say enough good things about James Goodrich. He really went above and beyond to help get me into my home and educate me on my first home loan. Bryce and the rest of the team were all helpful and answered all my questions quickly and accurately! I would highly recommend using Starboard for any loan needs.
