Southgate Apartments

I lived at South gate since 2016. It is a very nice, clean, and safe place to.live. The current superintendent is the best. He makes himself always available and is very prompt with addressing any and all issues. He looks out for all the tenants and makes sure it is a safe environment. It's a really nice place to live.

This by far was the worst place I've ever lived! I moved in Oct 2017 and the 1st day I moved in someone signed for my rug and stoled it! Thinking it was just a freak accident I reported it to the so called property mgr who couldn't do anything because there are NO cameras! Shortly after that two more packages were stolen so I discontinued getting things delivered to my address where I paid rent and LIVED which was a total inconvenience. After that it just went down hill from there between my apt door being vandalized, racist slurs from not 1 but 2 neighbors and the final straw was when my rent payment along with other tenants was stolen then expected us to PAY IT BACK was it for me! All these incidents were filed with Phillipsburg police station where I have physical reports for my recor

Decent place, friendly people, but ceilings are eh. Maintenence is ok. You can definitely hear people upstairs.

If u planing to move their think twice coz they want security deposit first but when it’s time to return the deposit back they no where to find it’s been more them a month I haven’t got my return back from them even tho I ask them every week and their same excuse back office taking time what back office when it time to return the money
