Sorrel

I lived there for almost seven years since I was seven. It’s a nice apartment complex, it’s also very close to Safeway/Starbucks, McDonald’s, and nearby schools (John Muir Elementary and Kamakin Ms). I don’t have any complaints, but sometimes children will play around my window and scream (not yell, SCREAM), it’s very creepy because it’s been happening since like 2023. It’s not a nightly thing, but it happens often around 9pm-ish- sometimes kids scream and sometimes older teens are messing around loudly. I don’t know if that would motivate someone to live here, but it’s smth that’s been happening.

Lived here for over a year. Greg and Donnie were awesome maintenance staff, always fast and responsive! A quiet community with respectful staff who are sure to make residents feel comfortable and secure in their units. We loved living here!

This has been a great apartment in a quiet area! No issues with neighbors, although people do park in other people’s spots sometimes. If I have a maintenance problem, they are quick to get it resolved!

Sharing this because future residents deserve to know what to expect. I had planned to renew my lease at Sorrel, but a repeated and deeply inappropriate issue has changed my mind. The assistant manager, Joey(?), often stands by the leasing office to stare at residents using the sunbathing chairs/pool. It’s prolonged, uncomfortable, and not limited to any gender. I’ve experienced it several times, and he only stops if you stare back. It makes me feel uneasy using amenities I pay for. Residents should not have to feel unsafe or anxious while using amenities they pay for. It is completely inappropriate, and no one should have to endure that in their own community. This will be my third year here at Sorrel and I am leaving a 5 star review because of how pleased I am with the property and our apartment. The whole property is well maintained and clean and the maintenance staff and office staff are kind people with excellent professionalism. The ambience of this complex is peaceful and quiet, there is lots of trees and so many parking spots! Maintenance is always quick to respond. Neighbors are friendly. If you are looking for a peaceful beautiful place to live in Kirkland I highly recommend Sorrel!
