Somerset at Lakeland Apartments

I’ll start by saying I love living here; it’s quiet, the apartments are nice, but I can’t give this place’s management a good review given the recent snowstorm. I’ve almost fallen multiple times because management refuses to do anything about the snow and ice on the walkways and parking lot. **These pictures are from over a week after it initially snowed.** People were stuck and unable to go to work for days unless they had the ability to dig themselves out and a car that could handle driving on solid ice. Every call I’ve tried they act like hiring a snow plow or clearing all the sidewalks is some ridiculous, impossible task, but the walkway to their office is magically perfectly clear. I love staying here, I feel safe, I never had my packages stolen nor have I had any problems for my safety. They tried there best to keep the property up and well groomed. I just wish people would pick up behide there pets outside other than that I would tell anyone to move here.

Somerset is a beautiful community they have everything here that any resident would need. I love this complex. I moved here from Orlando, Florida and this place really makes me feel at home. The process of the application and move in were so smooth and efficient. I love my beautiful view that I have through my balcony doors. The agents are so efficient with answers to my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Everyone is so nice and professional. So this is my shout out to Somerset. I love it here.

Unfortunately my experience here was not the best along with others. The gates have only worked 30 days out of the 14 months I have been a resident, which bring doubt to the security of the complex. The trash pile up is constant and has even made the news with its sanitation issue. There are stray cats that also feed off of the garbage which have not been addressed. I experienced an issue with roaches and spiders the first 2 or 3 months which I addressed and took care of myself. The staff turnaround is very quick which shows no consistency to how the complex is managed. I have seen 3 different managers over the span of 14 months. I wouldn’t recommend asking staff any questions about your lease because I was given the wrong information which cost me financially. Make sure you keep your leas

I have not had many issues but when I did they took care of it at a timely manner. They are responsive to your concerns and work with you when possible. Update: 2/25/2018 When I first moved here I was living in a one bedroom and when I moved to a two bedroom I snapped some photos. As you can see the place was absolutely clean with a brand new rug and kitchen floors. The apartment was really spacious and I never had any real issues that wasn’t fixed in a timely manner. The staff has always been professional and polite. I have visited potential places live and they are a complete letdown. I would recommend Somerset at Lakeland to anyone.
