Solano Property Management

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Solano Property Management, specifically with Jim (Property Manager). I reported a safety concern involving the landlord-provided microwave after it made a loud pop and sparked. The first technician they sent was an electrician who only checked the outlet and did NOT inspect the microwave itself. Because the issue continued, a second technician (appliance maintenance) was sent and confirmed the microwave was functioning properly. Despite this being a good-faith safety report and no tenant misuse or damage being found, Solano Property Management charged me $100 for the inspection a decision entirely within their control. We've found the team nice enough... when you FINALLY get hold of anyone - oh and nobody will call you back so you have to keep calling and keep calling. We supported an employee (new to country) to get an apartment through SPM and their process was expensive (we had to do 6x applications, costing $50ea!), and the communication very poor. They kept credit card details on file that they have no authorization to use which is unbelieveable - and then they took payment from these and didn't respond to any emails / calls about incorrect payments being taken. If you have any choice - don't use SPM. If you don't have a choice, be VERY careful what credit card details you give them - they use unlawful practices.

Great service from the lady Gabby who helped answer all of our applications questions. A year ago when my husband and I called she provided us with the same great service. We appreciate their consistency. Unfortunately we still haven’t found the right home for us in the area, but we will keep coming back to Solano property to look for a home because of the great service Gabby and the front desk have given us. I read a good handful of negative reviews about Solano Property Management and have heard from colleagues that this is a terribly ran business... but thought, maybe I'll see for myself because their listings are so attractive. Called yesterday to inquire about a property and was told to call back the next morning to make sure it's ready for viewing. I asked if I need to submit an application and was told no. So I called the next morning, ready to run over and grab the keys, but was told I can't without an application. I get it, I don't mind filling out an application, but the fact that two different customer reps gave me two conflicting answers is not worth my time or money. Worst property management company I've ever dealt with. They are slow to respond to maintenance request, half do the job and never follow up. They will lie and mislead you if they can. They could care less about their tenants and only a dollar sign. I have maintenance request that have been pending for months seems like they only respond when the situation get bad or your constantly complaining. This is a slumlord type property management company. You deserve better than what they give so go with other options if you have them. Horrible treatment of veterans. I wish I would have looked at reviews prior to.
