Shrewsbury Apartments

The guy in the leasing office was not welcoming! He saw me and it was like his worse nightmares came through, I came in and asked if there was any one bedroom Apartments available he looked me up and down and said “you have to be QUALIFIED!” he started drilling me on spot, I told him it was only me applying for the apartment, I had my drive along with me and he was questioning why I have him with me…..who does that? Then he send me by myself to look for an Emanuel if I’m correct , to view an apartment, he that’s was under construction! He never said it was being renovated, at-lease show us something that is in a good condition, I think he did that so we wouldn’t take it, don’t know just my speculation, I came back to the leasing office after the view and the door was locked I pressed the

I understand these are “older” apartments and we ended up with one of their “ renovated” units. It’s very tiny but it seemed they did a good job upgrading the flooring and kitchen. I’ll just say the longer we’ve been here the more obvious it is that they really did the bare minimum. With the exception of the Modern flooring in the living room, everything else was just re painted. Literally everything has broken atleast once.. our closet doors won’t shut without falling off track, our refrigerator has completely stopped working twice, the dish washer is so old that the dishes are still dirty after using it. The paint is peeling off of our bathtub… I could go on. Maybe if we weren’t paying an outrageous amount of rent it wouldn’t be so upsetting but for what we pay, this is not ok.

I would give negative stars if I could. To begin with this place needs to be taken down. IT IS SO COCKROACH INFESTED that you are stumbling over them every day not only in your apartment, but outside. Pest control comes every Friday, but it does nothing. Besides this you also have no cold water. Yes you are reading this correct NO COLD WATER, which means you have scalding hot water for EVERYTHING. And according to management and maintenance nobody can figure out why this is. I barely survived living here for 10 months.

Very satisfied with new exterminator & haven’t had an issue since. Although they manage out of a separate office they are attentive and take care of business. Would recommend

Good apartment was my backup plan if original place didn't get back to me. Heat n water paid by them, no pool or anything. Playground nearby.
