I was a resident at Shoresmith for a year and recently moved out. The communication in this complex is non-existent or passive aggresive. Community manager has made our lifes difficult from the very beguinning, the lease contract? We did not get it until move-in date regardless of follow-ups. Sign in bonus? I asked for months on end when I would receive it, the community manager kept telling me to be patient in the most passive agressive way until 4 months later she was OOTO and her replacement fixed it for us in days. Now at move out, we sent our move out notice - no response. We informed her in person and she acknowledged. We ask them to block the elevators for move out? No response on our emails, we ask in person, say they will, but no one is there when the move-out time came costing us

Very poorly run building! Do not move in here! We moved out 11/4 and they charged us a full month’s rent and have yet to return it as of 12/29. They have not returned the security deposit yet either and we are well past the 30 days. Additionally we received a utilities bill on 12/25 nearly 2 full months after move out for $167 and calls to discuss remain unanswered and unreturned. Very unreliable and shady business practices by this management company! I wish someone had warned us. Also, who ever utilizes the rooftop dog area does not pick up their dog poop! There is constantly dog poop just out on the roof top deck! Shameful!!!!!

I would strongly advise anyone considering Shoresmith to look elsewhere. The management here is consistently disorganized when it comes to paperwork and accounting. I have personally dealt with a severe accounting error on their part that caused me a massive amount of stress and inconvenience. Even when presented with clear documentation, the office is slow to admit fault and even slower to correct the ledger. In fact the manager tells ‘I cant help, deal with the billing, not in my purview’! It feels like you have to do their jobs for them just to ensure your payments are recorded correctly.

I am a neighbor who lives in the senior building across the street. We reached out to Shoreline management Avenure 5 to join us in getting the DESC property managers help with their screaming tenant, who sat outside this property and screamed all day and night. Shoresmith's regional manager Amy Simpson refused to engage with a neighborhood effort. Ultimately we were successful but without Shoresmith or Avenure 5. Their interest is solely corporate greed with no concern for the neighborhood. Do not rent here.

Being here has been nothing short of hell because of the management. Tammy and her team are impossible to reach, and on the rare occasion you do get through, nothing ever gets resolved. Repeated issues are ignored, resident concerns go unanswered, and there is absolutely no accountability or follow-through from management. It feels like they have no regard for residents’ safety or quality of life. The lack of action and communication is completely unacceptable, turning what could be a decent place to live into a constant source of stress. And to make matters worse, the only response you’ll usually see is a generic “thanks for reaching out please get in touch to discuss” — which is laughable, since that’s the closest thing to actual communication anyone ever gets from them.
