Shaker House Apartments studio apt.

The apartment manager is nice enough but the apt was leased to us a mess. Paint spots all over the wood flooring, very dirty, and in need of repairs. None of which were offered to be cleaned up or fixed by the apt manager. We had to do that. Front door key doesn't work well but mgr doesn't seem to want to replace it.

I've had a leaky roof for over 2 years and my fridge has been leaking into the downstairs apartment for over a year. The management Lisa and mine along with property manager. Has known of the situation from the beginning had contractors out 2 different times saying needs a complete remodel. In the time it's been the leaky roof has not been touched and over growth of mold has accumulated. We have been forced to live without heat a kitchen and lights in the back part of the unit. We have had multiple failed inspections from the city and the state. 2 units below have also been condemned an market as hazardous. Definitely don't recommend. I rent here have for two years. Management is ridiculous to get ahold of. I have placed multiple maintenance requests to get maintenance to fix my stuff. Roof and floors caving due to leaks everywhere. I have not had working heat except for 1 vent. They keep selling the apartments every few month it's new owners. This place is mold infested I scrub my walls once a week and all windows leak. They refuse to fix the situation. Renters beware

The worst apartments to live in! the water heater wasn't keeping water heated (couldn't even shower in warm water for ten minutes) and i kept getting the run around from the manager and her maintenance guys. our ceiling was slowly caving in, i consistently called maintenance, they would schedule a time to come and check it out and never show up! the vent in the bathroom was broken and never fixed. Seriously don't move here!

Outlets remained uncovered for a full year, walls were never painted only primed, and roaches were completely out of control. No one from MTH management, or the building manager was in any way helpful. After notifying MTH that the lease would not be renewed, they claimed to receive no notice, and charged an extra month of rent. After trying to reach someone to resolve it, they let enough time lapse to send it to a collection company. It may be the cheapest rent in the area, but they are not worth the trouble of signing a lease.
