A property that Severn Companies manages stays full of trash in the parking lot, in front of buildings, outside of the trash bin and in the recycle bin. When the homeless population takes over, they search through our bins and leave trash on the concrete. There are times when the trash bill is not paid and trash accumulates over 1 week even though tenants would receive notifications as if we are 100% to blame for trash not properly disposed of. It takes forever to receive a response from the Property Manager (calling, sending an email) even when this manager is on site. Many calls are made into the office during expected business hours and go unanswered. Right after, you can physically walk into the office and the same manager is sitting there like they never received a phone call. Tenants

The employees who work in the leasing office on the property I reside seem to not care about the residents. I am following up with the manager on a routine basis, I receive no feedback via email, door messages, phone calls. I brought an issue to the manager's attention. They acted like they could not do wrong and that the information I viewed could not have been a typographical error. Even when I inquired about the same concern, in front of the manager's manager (all 3 of us standing in front of each other) I was lied to and informed my concern was addressed. I still have not received an answer nor after speaking to the manager in person recently, I still have not been contacted as the manager informed me that they would follow up with me. I have had an ongoing issue with the district mgr at my property. It would be too long to explain here, but basically they have stolen money from me despite my having proof that it was owed to me. They have gaslit, lied, and are now flat out ignoring me. I tried to reach out to the Severn Company about this several times. The email provided on their website is invalid and the "contact us" option goes nowhere. In my last email to the property mgt I stated I will need to take legal action if this is not resolved. I hope it doesn't come to that.

I lived at Bay Terrace Apartments, a property managed by Severn Management, and my experience was deeply disappointing and damaging. In 2024, my household was evicted based on a rent amount that was not accurate. In 2021, I was denied an interim recertification, and instead of fixing the rent inaccuracies to get me back into compliance, the company used fabricated lease agreements with incorrect income information to cover it up. They created leases that I refused to sign. Despite notifying them and providing proof that I didn’t owe what they were stating , they proceeded to evict me based on documents I never agreed to and some that I’d never seen until after my eviction. We were contracted to complete a job for this company at Federal Manor Apartments located in Federalsburg Md. The point of contact was Spencer Leech. We did all the work and provided the C/O, they owe us our last draw and Spencer has stopped responding to emails and final payment request. To all contractors be careful.
