I regret renting an apartment at Veridian at South Meadows by Sequoia Apartments. I work from home, and I was looking for somewhere peaceful and safe to live. It was not Veridian at South Meadows. There are homeless people walking around, and even though there is a car gate, there is no gate for walk-ins. There were times when the whole community was flooded by police cars. I did not feel safe. I got an apartment on the 3rd floor, but heating and cooling costs were around $300–$400 per month. No good insulation. It’s by the lake, so there are lots of mosquitos, and you can't open the windows because windows are too old, and insect screens are useless. The maintenance is a nightmare. Sequoia Property Management is the worst and most unprofessional management company I have ever dealt with. I moved into a unit that was advertised as “fully renovated” and luxury, and it has been a nightmare since day one. The unit has had multiple leaks since move-in, including water coming through a light fixture area which is a serious electrical and fire hazard. There are signs of long-term moisture damage, rotting wood, swollen frames, musty odors coming from the cabinets, pest issues (including black widow spiders), and my personal property has been damaged by water (my espresso machine is no longer working). I am now 12 days into moving in and I still cannot unpack, cook, or live normally. Maintenance has been in the unit constantly, leaving the apartment dirty and disrupted, and
