I would not recommend renting through Select Management. The owner, Ben Mann, was consistently difficult to work with, and the overall operation felt unprofessional from the start. When we moved in, the lawn hadn’t been mowed, the floors were dirty, and the trash can was overflowing to the point we couldn’t use it. A few months in, a set of blinds broke and they replaced them. Later, another set broke due to wear and tear — which they acknowledged — but this time they refused to replace them. Ben was combative over the phone and kept changing his reasoning, though he acted friendly and non-confrontational in person… Toward the end of our lease, we asked to go month-to-month as outlined in the lease. The office said they preferred tenants to renew through spring to avoid winter vacancies,

These folks deserve ZERO stars. We were set to move in on July 14th and decided to not move in after a phone call with Ben. I asked if the house could be ready cleaned due to the floors being sticky and killing several flies. He had his assistant call me back to tell me, “I could take it or leave it”. I asked to be transferred to Ben who then said that it had rained and “when water touches grass, it grows”. I realized maybe Ben was having a tough morning so I went back to work and after grabbing lunch I called back to restart. I was greeted with the same condescending tone and when I relayed this didn’t have to be controversial, he said “I’m using words”. I’d rather lose $2200 then deal with folks that cannot have a simple conversation and immediately treat their tenants with disrespect.

If I could give no stars I would. Signed a lease for my daughter. The rental was filthy upon move in. Previous tenants left old and broken furniture in house, patio and garage. We hauled away as much as we could and left the rest. Food from fridge was thrown into garage and smelled so bad. Dog poop was all over the yard. There had been no cleaning done before we moved in. All was documented via pictures and move in assessment that we filled out and turned in. We did not renew lease due to so many maintenance issues that kept coming up with property. After move out we were notified that they were taking out money for cleaning fees and trash removal. I originally rented the apartment from a nice guy who then sold it to Select Management Group. The property itself is older, but the previous owner did a good job renovating it. Bailey and Bonnie were great. Ben the manager was rude and unprofessional towards me when I tried to discuss what I was being charged after I moved out from their Spruce St properties. They charged me a total of $994.17. $600 of it came out of my deposit, and $20 from a credit I had with them. $75 was for hauling a cheap grill that was there when I moved in, $10 to replace keys after I followed the directions given to me. As long as you are determined and willing to communicate- Select Management is willing to work with you and help in any way that they can. I have been renting since I was 18 here in Fayetteville.
