Jagged, uneven edges of wooden floorboards lurked around every corner of the house, waiting to pierce your feet, just like the screws jutting up and out of the stairs that led to the back courtyard. I moved into a property owned by Ginlat Properties, LLC and managed by Seabolt Brokers. The first day I attempted to do laundry I noticed the dryer was venting out into the hallway. My throat was scratchy and it was difficult to breathe. I emailed Seabolt and they got into contact with the owner, however both the owner and Seabolt stated nothing was to be done nor could be done about the matter. No one cared that doing laundry made it difficult for me to breathe. Going back and forth and getting nowhere, I called the city of Savannah’s code enforcement department at 311 and had someone come out.
