Scandia Apartments

I moved into Scandia almost a year ago, and I’ve got to say, it’s been a really good experience. I’m not gonna act like everything’s been perfect, but every time something came up, the office staff handled it. They’ve always been respectful, professional, and quick to respond. If you treat people right, you get that same respect back—and that’s what I’ve experienced here. I love my apartment. The layout makes sense, the price for the space is fair, and I haven’t had any surprise fees or rent issues. (I have the Viking 3bdr) My neighbors are cool, nothing weird or uncomfortable, and my dogs feel right at home. Trash is picked up on time, and the property stays clean. Even with how busy this place is, my maintenance requests always get taken care of in a decent amount of time. That matters

This is my personal opinion on my experience with Scandia Apartments between 2024-2025 on a 13-month lease. This is a reduced review below due to word count. see images for full review. The auto response to this review seems typical of their management. -Walls, floor and ceiling are well sound insulated. Rarely did I hear noise from a neighboring apartment. -Mouse was found during move-out Jan. 2025 from the 9210 building, 2nd floor. -THEY WILL NOT REMIND YOU TO SIGN THEIR MOVING OUT DOCUMENT 2 MONTHS PRIOR TO YOUR END OF LEASE AND WILL CHARGE YOU EVERY DAY YOU ARE LATE. I found this is a scam that is common for lower-level property management companies to not notify residents when this date is approaching. If you want a nice place to live, never come here! First the apartments are old the paint is falling off from so many layers that they put it on with time! If something is damaged in the apartment you have to beg them a thousand times to come and fix it and sometimes they say they are going and they NEVER show up! The apartments have a washer and dryer of such poor quality that what it does is damage your clothes, DO NOT COME HERE! There are other places that offer apartments with better finishes and at the same price!

Truly awful. Have not lived here for even a year and can safely say, will never consider living here again. I lived in Muncie for a time and that was far better than this place. In the months we’ve lived here, we have put in about 7 maintenance requests, multiple to fix what they did not fix the first time. Our water heater froze 2 times IN SUMMER and they did not fix the issue until water leaked from the water closet. Our fridge randomly decided to freeze things in the fridge and thaw things in the freezer. Our dish washer just broke. Our garbage disposal stopped working randomly and they “fixed” it for 30 mins before we had to put in another request which they FINALLY replaced the whole thing. I've only been in Scandia for 4 months and the best part of loving here so far is the maintenance crew. Hands down the BEST crew of any apartment I've lived in. Fixed my heat and my disposal within minutes.
