Saw Mill Village Apartments

I scheduled an appointment to view an apartment today at 2pm. My son and I arrived early, so we waited while 2:00pm came and went. Irritated I called the number that was in my confirmation text. I got a virtual AI assistant who informed me that it would contact the leasing office to inform them of my arrival. At this point I was even mote aggravated. Thankfully I was able to go in with one of the residence that had been waiting too. The maintenance man attempted to tell me the office is closed, and what building did I stay in. I informed him that I had an appointment to view an apartment and that my son and I had been waiting for awhile. Most horrible apartments to live at ever. Do not live here. The office never answers there phone. They changed the system to a robot so whenever you call the office you’re talking to the robot. There is constantly new people in the office. The maintenance here sucks. On multiple occasions they marked my work order as complete when they didn’t even come to my unit to fix it. I’ve had on going issues with my apartment. There is serious rat issue here. They barely take the trash out. The trash compactor is absolutely disgusting. Ive reported to the office multiple times about rats living inside my wall. I’ve been told multiple times over the past year that it’ll be fixed which it has not. My heat was out for two weeks and I got told that there wasn’t much they could do while I waited. After g

Watched cars get towed, due to not enough parking spaces at all!!! They either need to destroy the garages or get parking passes. Why should I pay hella money and have to walk all the way across the complex because people who don’t live here take up spots.

TL;DR too expensive for the quality, very outdated. Poorly managed, rat problem, trash problem, owned by a big corporation in another state. Quality has gone significantly downhill over the 2+ years that I have lived here. As other reviews have noted, there is an active rat problem, likely due to the trash being consistently overflowing. There is never available parking near my apartment, despite there being seemingly enough spaces and garages to serve all the residents. This might have to do with the fact that despite the lease terms clearly stating that garages are to be used only for parking cars, they are often used as secondary storage. I went in yesterday to look at the apartments about possibly moving in with my children. My appointment was at 1:45. I got there a little early. The agent was helping someone else. I sat and waited, then when it was my turn to be helped, the agent notified me that he wasn’t able to show me the apartment because it was just him in the office and provided me with the location of the apartment. I went to see it myself, and when I returned 10 mins later, the agent was gone. I waited 30 mins just to see. He closed the office down and wouldn’t return until 3 p.m. That right there gave me a feeling. Those won’t be the apartments. I put my life and children’s lives in the hands of these people. It shows how much he cared.
