Santa Rosa Oaks

I was a resident at Santa Rosa Oaks for one year, I moved out earlier this month. The property manager is never there and is impossible to get ahold of. Since my move out I have received 0 communication from them about my deposit. As per law, I am entitled to an itemized list of charges taken from the deposit, which I have not received. I cleaned the apartment and took photos before I moved out, there was no mess and only normal wear and tear. I was charged over $900 for paint, over $500 for cleaning, and $500 for animal urine that was not there. On top of this, I still have a balance of over $900 for unknown charges. I have always paid my rent on time. What the property manager and this company are doing is straight-up illegal. My fiance is a property manager himself and I know the law.

We have lived at Santa Rosa Oaks for almost a year, exactly. I really enjoy living here. The location is perfect, gated, in-unit washer/dryer, dog friendly; all the things I’ve ever wanted in an apartment. Shout out to Tamala for helping me this week with lease forms and questions I had. She was very timely in helping me and very communicative. In my personal experience, email and text works best for getting questions answered.

I lived in Santa Rosa for 4 years and never once had an issue with getting my deposit back. The property manager was never at the office, never answers the phone, and is rude. I ask for paint to touch up some areas and she said not to worry about it. I got charged $1400 for paint!! I have pictures of the place before move in and after move in. I looked up the company she used and it’s someone’s house in Santa Rosa. I have been trying to get ahold of the owner of the property but of course the office manager doesn’t answer and won’t provide that information. The first property manager was amazing and actually cared for the people in the complex. This one can barely show up to work.

The new manager doesn't do a good job, is annoying, and causes trouble for the tenants. I've been here for 15 months and now I want to move to a new place. The new place of residence sent an email to the manager here so she could confirm whether we were making noise here, causing disorder or disturbing the nearby tenants or not. but this new manager refused to confirm it for me, even though I had gone to her to talk about this issue many times. For this reason we cannot move to a better place than this one. I hope to meet the real owner of this rental building and have it resolved happily. It's really terrible to be in this place.

Scheduled a tour with the office. Showed up and the gate was closed so we called both the office and the personal phone number listed for the person we scheduled the tour with and neither picked up.
