San Joaquin Apartments at Montecillo

Cindy verbally confirmed the eviction of a tenant as well as their live pet that was left confined inside a small crate in the freezing cold. Heartless folks to say the very least.

These apartments are ok at best. Paper walls for the price you pay. I was finally ready to move out to my own home and called to give my 30 day notice ( I was month to month , paying extra monthly fee) they staff member I spoke to said ok and took down my name. On the last coupe of days of my final month I called to make sure we are all good only to be told by another incompetent staff member that I had to give a 60 day notice and that I wound be responsible for 1 month month of rent. How is it possible to be paying “MONTH TO MONTH” fee but then have to give 60 day notice. This was both absolutely unprofessional and very sneaky on their part. They then proceed to claim all these things that were to be deducted from my deposit. I hired a cleaning company to leave it absolutely spotless, no

One star because the apartments are nice. However, living at montecillo was hell. Literally. The air NEVER works unless it’s less than 70° outside which it never is because it’s El Paso. Do a drive by and see all the window units they’ve had to provide to residents. They obviously don’t care either because they used the same ac company for their newest apartments “the olivia,” which already (been open for maybe 6 weeks) has residents complaining and having to have units replaced with the window units as well. If you don’t like ac sure live here. Personally, it’s overpriced and location kind of sucks because you have to take 20 roads just to get home. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your next door neighbor watching tv or your upstairs neighbor walking around at 4 am.

AC always goes out would not recommend (Every building has this issue) . It’s a known problem they try to hide. This is probably a weekly occurrence at this point. It’s a shame the apartments are nice just poor build quality.
