I lived at a Salon Realty building for 3 years since moving to NYC on 66 st. The property manager, Luis was super friendly and responsive. Great guy. Josh, the owner, was also very accommodating when I had to deal with issues that impacted my living experience in the building. Some of their units are rent stabilized too, which is a plus. Thankful for the living experience here.

I rented from Salon Realty and moved out on August 31, 2025. Despite multiple follow-ups - I still haven’t received my security deposit. When I spoke with their representative, he told me “the owner will sign it when he signs it, and you’ll get it when you get it.” I found that dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that I’ve been patient and respectful throughout the process. During my tenancy, they were also very slow to respond to routine maintenance issues, which often took repeated follow-ups to get addressed. Communication overall was inconsistent and frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting through this company.

Neglecting, ignoring, and gas lighting my roommates and I right now about an ongoing mouse infestation. Do not care about providing a safe and clean environment to their tenants. No communication back to us for over a month.

I live on east 27th at a building managed by salon realty. The location is perfect, less than 2 minute walk to 6 train. The super is great, he keeps the building spotless. Management has always been responsive and helpful. I have been here 5 years, if they don't raise my rent I will stay forever. The ice cream shop attached to the building is awesome. Restaurant next door is great. Perfect NYC experience. Highly recommend the bldg.
