This is a great company that pays a lot of attention to detail. I think negative reviews stem from people not getting the value they want as is often the case with negative reviews in this industry. RSDS is extremely professional and has a great team.

Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience- with Bruce I had a very frustrating experience with Bruce during a recent home appraisal. The assessment was poorly done, lacking attention to key aspects of the property, and seemed rushed and inconsistent with comparable homes in the area. Despite the home’s condition and upgrades, the valuation came in surprisingly low without adequate justification. His approach felt unprofessional, and when asked for clarifications, the responses were vague and dismissive. This impacted the entire home sale process and caused unnecessary delays and stress. I would not recommend Bruce to anyone looking for a fair, thorough, and unbiased appraisal.

As fellow appraisers, we typically refrain from posting reviews, but the experience with RSDS compels us to speak up. An extremely straightforward home appraisal was handled carelessly from the start. The assigned appraiser selected inappropriate comparables that were not reflective of the subject property or current market conditions — comps that were geographically irrelevant, or lacking key similarities. To make matters worse, a prior appraisal was submitted initially, indicating clear oversight and lack of basic due diligence. This was by far the worst appraisal experience my husband and I have ever had — and we’ve bought and sold 5 houses in the last 26 years. We are selling our house in the DFW area (Mansfield, TX) and not only did Randy Moultry screw us on appraising our home built in 2020, but he didn’t even get all the details on the appraisal done correctly. He mismeasured initially on the square footage by over 700 sq feet and had to come the next day to remeasure again. The second day he came he overstayed his welcome in our home by hours! He would not stop talking about his personal life, family, showing me pictures on his FB account, and even telling me his views on racial issues in society. He was quite unprofessional!
