RPI Rentals

I rented from RPI for about three years in Millvale and prior to signing my lease I was a bit leery after reading some of the negative reviews on here. Overall, I had a great experience in terms of prompt responses to maintenance requests and receiving my full damage deposit back after moving out of state. Kim and the other folks in the office were always prompt and professional about communicating. They were also understanding about me switching to month to month after renting for a couple of years. After a check in during my first three months of renting, I pretty much did not interact with anyone aside from paying rent or maintenance requests, which is how I prefer relationships with landlords.

Moving to Pittsburgh from Los Angeles, Chuck showed me several places before I found the right one. He was always courteous and worked around my schedule. I moved into the Hatfield Street Apartment which had a great neighborhood and parking. While there, I did encounter a couple of issues with electric and water pipes but Chuck and his staff were always available to assess and fix the problem. Support Staff for the pipes and electric issues were very nice and were in and out in a timely manner. Office staff were always friendly and have to say Chuck was always pleasant and easy going, answered my questions and addressed any concerns. Rent increases were minimal compared to where I came from and the space was great. Chuck and his team do an awesome job!

This was easily the worst renting experience we ever had, and I've lived in Pittsburgh for almost 10 years. When we were first shown the house there was obvious damage from a smoker and multiple cats. They promised us that they would deep clean the house so the smell would be gone. When we moved in, the house still smelled of cigarette smoke and cat urine. They asked us to write down any grievances we had upon moving in and they would address them, so we did. Chuck, the owner called me at 8am and started screaming at me telling me that he knew he shouldn't have rented to us and told us he would give us entire security deposit back if we just wanted to move out. I cannot begin to say how wonderful and understanding RPI is! I would give them more stars if I could. I've been at two different rental properties with them spanning 10 years. The ease of paying rent and entering a work order via an app is most convenient! Of all the times I've had to put in a work order, they were ON IT immediately. My garage door broke once and Chuck came over straight away to help me get out since his normal maintenance guys were off the clock at that point. I noticed a tree branch was starting to lean on our back roof and the next day all the trees were gone. They are THAT fast. They are great communicators as well. RPI's office staff is the best!! I highly recommend renting from RPI!!!

I was a tenant of RPI Rentals for a little over two years and my experience in dealing with their team was always pleasant. Chuck, Kristy and Kim were always helpful and timely in addressing any issues or questions I had. Rent only went up $20 each of the two years that I was there. When it came to moving out, they worked with me on the timing so it was fair to both sides. I've seen people complain about not getting their security deposit back. I lived in a huge 4 bed, 2 and half bath house, with a basement and finished attic. I took the time to clean the house and leave it as close to how it was when I moved in, as possible. The cleaning charges I incurred were very minimal and fair. If you're an honest and reasonable person, you'll get the same treatment in return. I'd certainly recommen
