ROSS Companies Richmond Office

This company is a joke. Avoid any properties under their care! I've been living at The James on Merrimac for over a year and we've had 3 different property managers, almost no completed maintenance work, and Ross Companies isn't doing anything to help us. They'll gladly collect your rent and badger you if it's even an hour late, but they are actively violating Virginia landlord/tenant law. They do not respond to anything: emails, calls, texts, letters. I have outstanding maintenance requests from July when our apartment sustained water damage and mold from water leaking from other apartments' a/c units. Our dishwasher has been broken for about two months. The utilities are high. I'm fed up!

I stay in the Hamptons apartments and I have only been there since December. There is no one ever available in the office. I have reached out multiples about my first months rent being lost and multiple repairs in my apartment. I’m disgusted at the customer service and the improper emails that I receive. There is constant shooting and crime. The complex is disgusting. They do not answer emergency maintenance calls at all! When I call Ross they send me back to the complex who didn’t answer In the first place. When I moved in the apartment appear clean but the carpets was full of dog hair. The dryer don’t work properly and my clean clothes are covered in lent and dog hair.

Ever since Ross acquired The James on the Merrimac this has been our dumpster status. For two weeks we didn’t even have a dumpster and you can imagine how big the pile was. There was no communication about what was going on or when we were getting a dumpster. I was told that PRG took their dumpster and they had to get a new contract. Would be nice to relay that to the tenants paying astounding rent prices for this “luxury”. Now we have a dumpster. Smaller than last one, less pickups, and this constant site to see from the street. The collection company cannot get the dumpster back in the fence because of the overflow behind it. Poor communication, raising rent, providing lackluster onsite cleanliness. Profit over people. Not a recommended place to live.

The James on Merrimac property is truly the worst place I’ve ever lived in my entire life. My apartment is flooding, molding, and falling apart. It has come to the point where it’s a major safety issue.

Well well we’ll crestwood at libbie finally got someone name Tee in the office and she seems to no what to do and from myself and others saying the same thing she seems like she is concerned and return calls and always in the office. She even walks the property. Haven’t seen this in 5 years. Please keep her
