Rook Apartments

The Rook is a great place to live if you are wanting to live downtown Tacoma. I have lived in three other apartment buildings surrounding The Rook and I can honestly say, we feel safer here. The cleanliness of the building and amenities is something we also appreciate. Ernie, the property manager, is amazing. He has been so helpful and attentive. Everyone at the leasing office has been very helpful and the maintenance team is the best! We’ve had only two small work orders and they were fixed immediately! As someone who is in the property management industry, I can say The Rook is managed very well and the apartments are simply beautiful!

These are the best apartments Ive ever lived in! For starters the application process was quick and easy (shout out to Ernie) the unit is amazing all new appliances, and havent had any issues in unit yet, the only downside is our concrete stays super cold aha.. but what i really wanted to input was the community! Everyone here is amazing, sweet, and everyone helps when needed! Our neighbors are amazing and kind. If your thinking about these apartments DO IT! Id reccomend if financially its not an issue to pay for a garage spot.. because the only issue is car break ins, but thats just tacoma!

I love almost everything about living at the ROOK Apartments. My favorite part is the incredible staff — they’re always responsive and helpful. I moved out of my previous building (built in 2016) for three main reasons: 1. Mold caused by plumbing issues 2. Stolen packages due to no mailroom 3. The inconvenience of having to meet guests in the lobby I chose ROOK because it’s “modern” and meets most of my needs — except one: guests have to be met in the lobby. This is very inconvenient, especially when hosting gatherings, in the middle of cooking, or not feeling well and having to go down for a take-out delivery. Lived here for a year. I was the first tenant to live in my unit-that was nice to experience. Leasing office was mostly helpful the few times I reached out & was always easy to reach. I own two cars and decided to not park in the garage, and was always able to find parking on the street with no issue. No one ever broke into my cars either. I chose not to renew my lease because I can pay the same amount of rent for a new unit in Seattle and live closer to my friends. I’ve had several packages stolen from the package room and mail room-this is not the managements fault. The few times I tried to post about it on the resident portal, management rejected my post with no explanation- but yet they approve post of residents bullying each other and calling one another out… I never understood why t

Amazing apartment with lots of facilities and more amazing management (Ernie, Aubri, Killian) and maintenance (Derek and Jeremy). My time at this apartment has been nothing but wonderful and these amazing people made it much much better. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone, especially to students. UWT is super close and walking back home by walk has always been safer irrespective of the time of the day. Thank you.
