Rockwood Gardens Apartments

We have been living here for more than 2 years now. It’s an old complex (I believe it’s 52 years) but very well maintained. The maintenance crew work very hard to keep the place clean and beautiful. Anything goes wrong, they are only a phone call or email away. I give a 4 star instead of 5 star, only because this is not a smoke free complex, and both sides of our neighbors are smokers. We have to shut down the windows and balcony doors whenever they smoke. We can’t keep our windows open when we leave otherwise the room will smell like a smoke house when we come back….

Outstanding maintenance crew and nice staff. Amenities have been cut as rent has skyrocketed. Pool was ripped out many years ago for "maintenance" and then, abolished. Current corporate management evidently has disdain for their long time residents. Flowers are called the amenity. Washers and dryers are run by Hercules and it is the tenant's job to report any broken machines. Hercules can sometimes take many days to come to repair anything despite the extremely high prices they charge to use their machines. Machines are frequently broken.

Not at all satisfied with the service of the two women in the office. Have been waiting for my application to be "processed" since early December, but Shelly seems to have issues with being able to print documents; apparently they were coming out "too big" or "missing information." All the same documents were taken to her, and apparently was adequate. We needed a larger apartment; as we are expecting another child very soon, and I've had to call in weekly to check the status. (they rush you off the phone by the way) "It's being processed" was the reply, until she dropped the ball and said her general manager "picked up our application, and a few others; he will be reviewing them all and will decide"...? That is far from professional, respectable or even anywhere near proper business etiqu

Don't waste your time!!!!..Marilyn is rude and obnoxious.. you ask for an apartment she tells you there is one available... She asks you for all your documents and at the same time, showing other people the same apartment.. They put you on the waiting list. When you call and ask, they tell you that it's still being reviewed... they have a Lottery pool which means they collect people's application and once they have a bunch they'll look through it and decide which one is best suited for that apartment . They make you wait for months with all kinds of excuses.. They'd give you the runaround.. They never know about the application status. Then after asking many questions then they will tell you that they have been sending you emails or correspondence because something has been missing.. they

I had a discussion today with what I assumed is the property manager. I inquired about an apartment for my daughter who is disabled. She has excellent credit but cannot work right now while she is recuperating. As her father I am willing to sign the lease and be responsble for the rent. They told me that whoever lives in the apartment has to have the income requirements to pay the rent on their own. This income test is a coverup for discriminating against people with disabilities. They said if I am going to be responsible for the rent I must be the tenant. Again a coverup for discriminating against people with disabilities.
