My experience since I moved in October 2021 started off good... but my rent started about $830/month. Every year it's gone up. If I renewed this year, it would be over $1,000/month starting in October 2025. Actively looking for a new place & will give 2 months notice on August 1. Hope to find something downtown or on the South Side, but may have to move toward the North Side. Will move out close to the end of September.

I am a new tenant at the Historical Robert E Lee Apartments. My experience, starts with the front Leasing Office Manager, Ms Rodriguez- she was an very kind, professional, who I will never forget, as her management of the property, could not be in better hands. I had to wait, as I was running late on my second meeting - had a chance to meet some of the residents - all spoke nothing but kind words about her and how they love their home- they were all such welcoming residence. I did my walk through..and my apartment is perfect. The original mail slot, to the pictures, and yes the friendly ghost - I am home .. and I am blessed its at the Historical Robert E Lee. Mr. Sam always goes above and beyond. Always there when needed. The tenants are provided complimentary coffee every morning! How awesome is that! Mr. Sam is amazing! Always a few steps ahead. He makes sure that we are taken care of. Ms. Janis is awesome! She started our own food pantry for the tenants here! How amazing is that!

As usual Sam is right on the issue. I submitted a maintenance request for no hot water and my garage disposal not working. Both issues were resolved by the next day.
