Rivergate apartments is a multi family building. The 1 bedroom apartment is adequate for single person or a couple. It has a balcony in the majority of the units but not all of them. The apartments are so called smoke free yet you can smell Marijuana in the halls, and the staff does not approve of someone smoking a cigar on the balcony. The hot water doesn't last that long if you wish to take a longer shower. The apartments are also pre wired for xfinity and no other service is offered for your cable or internet. Pro tip is a Verizon cube for internet and a smart TV. There is a parking deck and outside parking. In the parking deck you will not be near your apartment of even on the same floor. I’ve toured a lot of apartments recently, and these two easily stood out as the best leasing professionals I’ve met. They were incredibly informed about the building, amenities, pricing, and floor plans, and they answered every single one of my questions without hesitation or rushing me. I genuinely appreciated how patient and transparent they were, especially since I had a lot of questions. I had one of the worst experiences living at Riverview Apartments in Woodbridge. After moving out, I was charged over $2,300 in move-out fees without clear explanation. I repeatedly asked for itemized bills, but no one responded. Instead, the charges were sent to debt collectors without properly communicating with me first. The entire experience — from living there to moving out — was extremely frustrating and unfair. The supervisor in the office, Yasmina, is aware of the full situation and duration of these issues. Very disappointing management and treatment of residents. I would not recommend this place.

I wanted to wait a few months before writing this review so I could really get a feel for the apartment. I can honestly say, I genuinely love living here. Everything in life has pros and cons, so I’ll start with the cons. I’m not a fan of guests having to pay for parking. That part feels a bit unnecessary. Also, you absolutely cannot park across the street at the restaurant, and they’re extremely strict about that. Personally, I feel like after business hours, guests should be allowed to use the restaurant lot, but I do understand from a business standpoint why that’s not allowed. Another minor con is that the walls are a bit thin, so you can sometimes hear your neighbors. And while the units themselves are gorgeous, I do wish they came with ceiling fans that have lights. Rivergate was a great loation, with amenities and options that enabled comfort, socializing, and made a very difficult time in my life much more manageable. It wasn't just the move out, it was everything from the day i moved in. I moved 3 times during my tenure at Rivergate, each time to get closer to my son's apartment as better options came available and as his condition became more critical. The management team, especially Yasmina, was always kind and thoughtful and made all things possible. And I must say... having the Harbour Grill just across the parking lot was another great blessing. Perfect is so many ways...
