I love my landlord …but north management terrible. I miss the old staff. There’s this miserable receptionist name Delisa. I’ve never seen her smile in my life. The only time I seen her smile when a cat was falling from a high balcony….pure evil. She rude and condescending. She literally stalked my door to accuse me of smoking….i burnt my bacon. Can’t even distinguish which type of smoke it is. I would never smoke smoke cigarettes. I’m a classy lady.
An okay first apartment if you move to the area, apartments are individually owned. So make sure and check with your landlord about certain things before agreeing to anything (specifically the cats allowed policy) the fire alarms go off very often. Front desk is very nice and we’ve never had a stolen package. Oh and definitely go see your apartment in person before signing your lease, the paint jobs are god awful in some of them. Oh and the place does smell like weed 24/7 if that’s something that bothers you
Great location, great price, great people. This is definitely one of those co-ops that you need to really take a look at in person before handing over a check. Every apartment has a separate landlord, so the condition of the apartment is solely dependent on the Landlord's preparation/attention to cleanliness and response time. With that said, the facilities offered are great (gym and pool) and the front desk staff are courteous. I would live here again.
I have enjoyed my time renting and living at River Place North. I am in a studio apartment and rent includes utilities, one parking space, and amenities of gym and pool. For the location, the price is a steal, $1,300 and a 5 minute walk from metro and to Arlington Cemetery, 20 minute walk to Georgetown and super accessible going in and out of city. No complaints, my landlord and staff have been very nice and helpful!
Nice place to live for when you're starting out. The rent is cheaper for a studio (~1300) compared to other places around and you don't need to pay for utilities like water or electricity. the North building has WiFi so you don't need to pay for that too, but sometimes doesn't work. The place has a gym and a nice market place but you have to pay for parking and no guest parking. The cons of this place is that the air is controlled so if it's 60 degrees in January and your windows aren't open it's sweltering. And you can't change the temperature. Another BIG con is that the fire alarm KEEPS going off. Since I have moved in in July, this building has had about ten fire alarms go off. I had to email management TWICE to get a response from them and even then they said that they can do nothing
