River Place

I’ve been here for two years and can say that River Place South is a lovely place to live. The lobby is modern and well kept, the staff are kind are welcoming, and the neighbors are kind and respectful. It isn’t perfect, there are things that could always be improved but that comes with the territory of living in an older building. Truly a gem!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Be extremely careful with which unit you choose. The day I moved in, I found a dead mouse in my apartment and moved the fridge to find a gaping hole in the wall. There were roach droppings all around this hole, but I had already signed the lease so I fought for them to fix the hole. Living here has been extremely traumatizing, from roaches to migraines from the mold in my rotting sink. To rent an apartment in this condition after paying a cleaning fee is unacceptable, and this place should be seriously inspected by the health department in my opinion. Good location close to the subway and Georgetown. Grocery store, pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ with sauna. Nice clean territory. Sometimes mouse and bugs were visited us, until the pest control team arrived

This place is a JOKE! Way over priced and outdated! Awful service when trying to operate washers. Zero thermostat control. They’re wasting $$. When it’s cold and pouring rain they have the AC blasting cold! Have to cover the vents! The pool they charge you to use!! You pay to live here and they charge you to use the pool! Money grabbers!!

This was the worse place I have ever lived. I was a resident in building 1021. The front desk staff were disrespectful (especially the older woman that is no longer there) and the female manager was rude as well, didn’t compromise with tenants or deal with her staff accordingly, she would contact your landlord and complain about YOU instead. ADULT drunk neighbors would bang on your door and then run back in their apartment. Another neighbor who was racist and had mental issues would follow you and bang on the door talking crazy. The parking is a mess, you have to find third party owners that are renting the spaces and if there are none available, your car will get towed and there is no street parking around.
