I recently took a tour there and the staff were super friendly and open with any questions I had, seems like a really great starter apartment!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My younger sister was living here while attending college, and during the last month of her lease, a severe plumbing/flooding incident that forced her to evacuate the apartment. Her belongings were damaged, and she could no longer live in the unit, yet they still took her full rent and utilities for that month without offering any reimbursement, alternative housing. They denied all accountability. To make things worse, they had the audacity to charge her a $50 “cleaning fee” and a $25 key replacement fee, even though the key was mailed back before the due date. Im skeptical about posting because my lease ends in a month and I want my deposit… but Folks, listen to me and hear me clearly. I promise, you don’t want to live here. If you are looking for somewhere affordable, nice, clean, or whatever… I would highly recommend you commit a crime and get booked into the County Jail versus live here. Parents, just because this place has “Sam Houston” in it doesn’t associate it with the beautiful and historic university. If you don’t want to read all this, just know this isn’t the place. I like the pool. It has recently been resurfaced and it is big and I believe the best in town. My one bedroom has a beautiful view of tall pine trees which is a must for me sometime I feel like I'm not in an apartment because of the ambiance. They have a great customer service team and maintenance team!!!!!

I truly wish I had read the reviews before allowing my daughter to move in. Yesterday was her scheduled move-in day, and what we walked into was nothing short of a nightmare. It was clear there had been an attempt to prepare the apartment, but several paint buckets were left in the living room, there were spills and stains on the floors, and the unit had not been cleaned. We found both dead and live roaches inside the refrigerator and across the kitchen floor. The bathroom tubs were dirty, and the carpet had neither been vacuumed nor shampooed. The air conditioning was also non-functional. We set the thermostat to 68 in hopes of cooling the unit, but after more than 10 hours the temperature remained at 85.
