We keep our apartment sparkling clean and nevertheless have been dealing with cockroaches. I have had exterminators come 5 times in the past eight months, and each time take pictures of holes behind the oven and around the pipes where the roaches get in--they send these reports to Renaissance Realty and Renaissance does absolutely nothing. They are incredibly patronizing over the phone and accuse me of being dirty, despite receiving photos of our clean apartment with every pest control report. After five times of calling Renaissance Realty to deal with this issue, today they refused to speak to me because my name is not on the lease...of an NYC apartment! The customer service at Renaissance Realty Group is extremely poor. In the two years I have lived in one of their properties they have yet to respond to our request for repair, or returned a single phone call. Right now the hot water has been broken for three days, and you can imagine how dirty my person and dishes must be. Didn't get a single notification or apology from the company. Company = Fail. The good thing is they keep their rents manageable and I do like that.

As always, the staff at RR, especially Nechama, have been a pleasure to work with, friendly, accommodating and committed to helping their tenants!

Lies and deceit. You should NEVER use this realty group. They are bad humans. There was a fire in our building and I had ZERO HELP during it. Expect nothing from them. Emails. Calls. NADA. Getting your security deposit back? Impossible. Nothing is worst than your home being taken from you… and at least your management group should help, right? They couldn’t care less. DONT USE THEM. I promise you will regret it…

Shady, greedy, profiteers. Engage in myriad illegal practices and try to bully/scam their tenants for every dollar they can get away with. Never give them your money. Better yet, report them to the city. Seriously, google the property owner Marc Chemtob. Every year he tops the city's Worst Landlords List. Despicable man and a despicable company.
