Preferred Title, LLC

The weeks leading up to closing, I did not receive any "before day of" instructions. When I called a few days before closing, specifically asking if there was anything to do before closing, I was told "no, everything will be handled on day of closing. " Day of closing, I'm asked "so you already wired the money as instructed, correct?". Nope! I never received those instructions. We were still able to close that day, but it took 2 hours longer than it needed to for an absolutely avoidable reason.

Three years ago they were great. This time around they charged me an additional $250 FSBO fee because I'd "need extra help from them in the closing process." Preferred Title did not get me access to review the docs until write before I was set to sign, and I had to go through and correct over three different documents for them. We were not able to finish the closing in the planned time and the transaction is still not complete. Not an apology in sight!

I don't usually leave reviews, but it felt necessary to warn others. I have had three closings with preferred title. The first two were fantastic! The last closing was horrible and preferred title has lost all future business with me. They make it seem like they care about you and are protecting you, but it is about protection of themselves. Do your research and ensure you are connected with a good closing officer. There are good ones at Preferred and some that I would strongly advise to steer clear of. Hope this review is helpful.

Sent me a cryptic email less than 24 hours before close, and then were unavailable by phone the rest of the day. Ultimately, never returned my messages. Up until 30 minutes before my closing appointment, I had no idea if they actually had what they needed from my bank to complete the closing transaction.
