Pleasant Village Apartments

Been here 8 months and for the most part I enjoy living here. The beach is a block behind us, many restaurants, bars, retailers, urgent care and veterinarian within walking distance. Rent is very reasonable for the location, landscaping is well maintained and all neighbors that I have met are friendly. Donna and Brandy have always been very nice and communicated well. The only thing is the laundromat, not much room in the apartments for even small stackable washer and dryer but maybe combination washer / dryer appliance. But at least there is a laundromat on the property.

Hands down the best rental experience I've ever had in Hampton Roads. Great staff, nice property, wonderful neighborhood.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I've wanted to write a review for a long time since I haven't lived there in nearly 3 years. But I've had some great experiences since then so figured I would help out my fellow VB'ers who are looking for a place to rent..... So, Pleasant Village (the irony of this name is not lost on me) seemed nice at first, surrounded by gorgeous million dollar homes within walking distance of the beach. But, it's ALL a facade. While the apartment was very spacious, and the price was very reasonable for a 2BR 2 BA, there were COCKROACHES and ANTS all the time. The owner, Brandy, wanted to blame the tenants for that insinuating none of us cleaned up after ourselves. This after she would enter into our apartment barefoot whenever she came in. Look at other options before renting here. I’ve currently been living here for a few months and have already experienced enough problems to want to move out. I pay extra for a renovated apartment which includes a new fridge, yet I still have an old one in my unit. Contacting the property managers is pointless as they do not return calls or texts. Maintenance requests are half completed and take an absurd amount of time to be addressed. I have a cigarette smell looming in my apartment that wasn’t there when I moved in. Apartment has tons of cockroaches in it. Was promised many issues in my apartment would be addressed shortly after moving in but not one of them have been completed. Seriously consider moving somewhere else.

I've lived here twice in the last decade and I love it. A great neighborhood and great staff
