Plaza West Apartments

Property management is horrible, and impossible to contact. The deteriorating exterior of the property looks like Section-8 housing, and there is always a lot of trash laying around (including dirty diapers for over a month...until I called the City to report). Gang writing on their dumpster, and management will not paint over it. They don't take care of their own property, so you can imagine how they treat the residents.

Impossible to reach. Called the management company listed (four star realty) just to be told the property was sold off and now managed by BRC. BRCs number is listed absolutely no where and the number four star realty provided goes directly to a cut off line. Call BRCs actual company and you STILL won’t get an answer. I spent an entire day trying to reach this property to no avail. Finally I give up and DRIVE TO THE PROPERTY. There is NO LEASING OFFICE. Renting from these people is such a hassle it makes renting from them feel like you’ll never be able to get anything accomplished. If I have to try this hard just to rent, I can’t imagine how horrendous it is when you need maintenance or anything else.

Overall, living here is pretty horrible. The neighbors are incredibly loud and rude. They are loud at all hours of the night, screaming and banging. I can hear them coughing through the wall. Property management has never taken action on any of my requests. The exterior and foundation are cracking. There has been a down wire in the parking lot for over 6 months. The front door has never been closed in the two years I've lived here. I think people who don't live here come inside to use the laundry machines. The spaces are small, but cute. I love my spiral staircase. I love that it's walking distance to DU campus and lots of food options. 2/10 stars
