I’d highly recommend to stay away from this company. Applied for a place had to reach out to them to “hear” something of being denied and in my 20 years of renting I’ve never had to have a co signer. But the fact I had to contact them to see what was going on is very unprofessional. And the lady hung up like I was taking up her precious time. Maintenance tech myself so I deal with property management and I’ve always seen the leasing agents communicate even if someone does not get approved. Thinking this a scam

We rented for a little over a year from pilot, The scummy business practices are high here. They always forget to follow up on maintenance requests even after reminding them multiple times. The house had several issues with the paint when we moved in. When we decided to leave they charged us 800 dollars in paint!! We even had the paint fixed better than what they had left us with to begin with! This sort of scummy behavior is what gets places blacklisted from military renting. DO NOT RENT IF MILITARY. Never a late payment, always on time, and this is how they treat their renters.

Rented at Falcon Heights from Pilot Properties for almost 2 1/2 years, never a late rent payment. I have rented my entire adult life, so I am not new to this. First, apartment was so dirty they had to clean it twice. No walk around inspection or checklist provided. I moved out December 20th 2024. It took almost 45 days to receive anything in the mail. They decided to take out $1060 from my $1395 deposit to repaint. Once again, I have been a renter for almost 20 years so I know how this works. I never hung one thing on the wall specifically for the reason of not negatively impacting my deposit. I rented with pilot properties for about a year and a half and it was one of the worst experiences with a property management company I’ve ever had. Deb (Property Manager) is super nice before you move in and will say anything to get you in a unit. Things quickly change once you move in. My unit was a duplex off Thatcher Ct. Where to begin… I made two noise complaints due to having loud, disrespectful neighbors that would fight all the time. Deb told me to either call the police, or I was welcome to break my lease? Yet, I had music playing DURING THE DAY, she text me and told me to be considerate of my neighbors and quiet down per the lease, but she didn’t do the same when my neighbors were constantly loud and bickering. After two years of renting with this company, I can wholeheartedly say that I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. It takes numerous phone calls to get maintenance to even visit, and it takes numerous visits by maintenance to get any problem “fixed.” Every “fix” we have had has broken again. We reported potential mold in our bathroom and they just told us “oh that’s not mold don’t worry,” without ever testing it. Pilot Properties left us without a functioning heater for TWO MONTHS in the middle of winter. Our heater stopped working consistently in November, and maintenance attempted to fix the issue numerous times, but it was not fixed until January. Two months of winter without a functioning heater.
