Pilot Place

If this wasn’t prime location with all utilities included I would have broken my lease. While my apartment is nice, the building itself is disgusting! Bodily Fluids, dog poop and pee are constantly in the elevator. Dog poop on the sidewalks and grass, overflowing dumpster and smoke filled stairwells. I have renters insurance and nobody has figured out how to remove that on my account so I’ve been being charged since March. I’m over it for the amount to spend to live here and I wish management would get it together. I’ve called about this numerous times and honestly don’t know where else to complain about this.

I love my apartment and the vibe here is genuinely nice. The units are unique and it’s convenient that utilities are included in the rent. That’s a big plus. But my experience with management has been disappointing. Just one month in, I received a 5 day eviction notice even though I paid my rent in full and on time. The Assistant Property Manager personally helped me fill out the money orders and still allowed this to happen, the same person who signed my eviction notice. I had to stop everything in my life to prove I paid, with receipts, time stamped photos, and a full explanation. It was only after I brought all my evidence that the fee was removed. These people will harass every day to apply even when they know you won't qualify. Once you pay the fee, all of that help and understanding disappears and you get a denial letter and the name of ANOTHER company to dispute it. All she wanted was my application money. This is why the building is half empty.

This place is horrible. I have lived here for 5 months hate it, me n my wife thought we was getting a calm quiet normal apartment complex like are old ones that were luxury in va beach, bad decisions it was down town and we thought it was luxury no it wasn't people there was mean and rude. The pool is always filled with people blasting loud music. My kitchen was to small the house is shaped funny and the floor is made out of cheap material the stair rails paint was coming off like plastic! I wouldn't move here for 2 Million dollars every second! Theres sand in the street theres water bugs and cockroach's please dont move here for your own sake. The people here are dirty.

I have lived at Pilot Place a for almost a year and a half and my experience has been great. I love my unit. I have not had any issues. with noise or my neighbors. Kimberly in particular has been fantastic. She is personable, communicative and always greets me with a smile. I honestly think Pilot Place is a wonderful place to live.
