I love Richmond American Homes. There not just another builder. There a builder that, well cares about you the home owner. There customer service is one of the things that sets them apart from everybody else. They actually do what they say they're going to do. They don't give you the runaround and make you wait until after your warranty is up on the house and then they don't tell you that there's nothing they can do anymore they actually do stuff for you to make you as a homeowner satisfied with your purchase. As a person that was recently looking to build a home Richmond American Homes offers a good amount of floor plans all ranges of square footage and budget types. I would choose Richmond American home again wii you?

My biggest piece of advice if you decide to work with Richmond American Homes, is GET A REAL ESTATE AGENT to go with you. I was new to this home building experience, and the lady we were working with ( Amanda) implied that we did not need an agent to move forward. BIG MISTAKE on my part, one that cost me nearly $4k. Being new to the home building process, I did not realize I had to use the actual word “contingency”. I had told Amanda (and she agrees we had this conversation), that we would not be able to move forward if one or the other of us (my then partner) could not sell our homes. Evidently, that was not enough…I HAD to use the actual word “contingency”. My partner’s ex was not able to move forward with buying his home because she had lost her job due to COVID. I was under contract to purchase a spec home of theirs in Coolidge, Az. Unfortunately their spec home did not appraise near the sales price. Instead of reducing the price of their home, they instead chose to terminate the contract AND keep my earnest money. They got to keep their house and keep MY money. Their thoughts went like this “You can pay the difference as additional down payment, or walk away. If you walk away, we will keep your earnest money AND raise the price of the home by $14,000. If anyone asks me about Richmond American, I will tell them to run, don’t walk to the next builder. They prey on the unwitting, the honest, and minorities.

The design center is already stressful and with so many selections it is very overwhelming. The advisor that assisted me was Dawn, very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She never made me feel foolish asking questions ans gave very detailed answers. She is definitely a valued asset that turned it from stressful to enjoyable!

Carol is AMAZING! So welcoming, not pushy, knows her stuff! She made me feel so calm I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help me assist in designing our forever home!
