I was the first person to contact them about a new rental, I went in person and confirmed the listing and price before applying. I explained that myself and my 2 sons had been displaced due to a house fire just a few days ago. They let me pay $41 (the $1 was to cover their processing fee!) to apply, plus $10 for a background check. A few hours later when I checked the listing, they had jacked up the price, then called me the next day and told me they had a better qualified applicant. No, they had someone willing to pay more! Very unprofessional and deceptive. I wonder how many people they accepted application money from before deciding to change the price?

By far the worst. They let people in your house at all times of the day rarely with a warning. Multiple trailers within their trailer park have loose sewage connections that cause fecal water to run Down your driveway. You can tell them repeatedly and they will continue to do nothing. They will do everything they can to take your money when you move out too. The office multiple times has very poor communication skills and at times doesn’t answer the phone and doesn’t have anyone at the physical location during buisiness hours. This company is clearly trying to buy up all the poorer properties in west Monroe Monroe so they can price gouge people for decent housing. Their trailers are not worth the 1000+ dollars they want for rent. The A/c in the units are not capable of cooling the trailers

Renting through Pelican Properties has been a really good experience. The staff is friendly, easy to reach, and quick to handle anything that comes up. The whole process was simple and stress-free, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a place.

This was my first time renting, and Pelican Properties exceeded my expectations. The office staff is friendly, communicative, and genuinely cares about their tenants’ wellbeing. They are personable, approachable, and always willing to help. Their system for paying rent and submitting maintenance requests is easy to use, and you can track the progress every step of the way! I’ve heard horror stories about other rental experiences, but I feel truly fortunate to rent from Pelican Properties. If you’re looking for peace of mind when renting, I highly recommend this property group.

MESSAGE ME IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY!! i have already received multiple facebook messages from people letting me know they did the same thing to them & i am building a case!! DO NOT APPLY with pelican properties!! it’s literally just a scam/money tactic. we put in an application for a property & had to pay $20 per person in our house, & pay for our own background checks, which equaled to $60 total. just for them to call us 2 days later & say that somebody else was “more qualified” & more of the “look” they are wanting in a tenant. i checked all of our references & employer & they never called any of them to confirm what we put on our application. they just decided we weren’t “the look” they were wanting in a tenant. but that didn’t stop them from taking our application money
