Parkside Apartments

These people are absolute thugs. Bottom of the barrel, will do anything to scrape money by you and steal from your deposit. We left our apartment be BEAUTIFULLY clean. I literally spent days cleaning it. They will charge you for everything and make up that you left things dirty! I have attached their “photos” included in our exit packet. Above all, this place screams quantity over quality. 1) notice how all of the before photos are in black and white and the “after” photos are in full color and detail? 2) please note the photos that I took the day we handed over the keys vs the so called “dirty” appliances we left. 3) they also inappropriately emailed the entire apartment complex multiple times telling women that wearing bikinis at the pool was not “family-friendly”. Are you kidding me?

loved living at Parkside apartments this year! Upon move out here are my thoughts.. POSITIVES: The staff and property were extremely kind to me from start to the end. When I moved in the apartment was spotless, I could tell there was an extremely deep clean. When I had issues with my dishwasher they responded promptly. The property itself is well maintained and beautiful DEPOSIT. I got almost my ENTIRE deposit back besides a mandatory fee of 35dollars. So I'm not sure why the reviews say they take entire deposits, take those with a grain of salt. (I did leave it in spotless condition upon move out) 2 bus stops right outside which is perfect for UCD students. They also offered several buffets and pizza/other foods for us during finals week!! Don’t bother to clean the apartment after the lease ended since they will still charge you cleaning fees $460 even after we cleaned and keep apartment spotless. Giving Parkside Apartment 1 since the surrounding is safe, clean and great location with street parking and bike cage.

I really enjoyed living here while finishing my degree. They kept the property looking nice at all times and the staff were friendly. I loved using the grill area and was amazed how well they kept it maintained. Maintenance was always quick to respond to our needs and also friendly. I loved that they had treats during the holidays and for finals as well. It was nice because we all know finals are stressful and they cared about the students by having treats and at times, a food truck. I loved the location. Getting around Davis was easy with the convenient location. Overall, had a pleasant experience.

I wouldn’t stay here. Management reached out to us two years after we moved out, asking for more money for damages. All the reviews mentioning them keeping the entire deposit and charging extra for renovations are true. Unfortunately, no matter how carefully you try to return the unit in the same condition you received it, you’ll still be penalized for normal wear and tear. For example, they charged us for dust between the windows, cabinet covers being removed, and other petty things. They paint the entire place if they find your fingerprints behind the toilet. So clean it as if you are trying to scrub a crime scene, maybe that will prevent them from painting the entire place, still not sure though.
