Parkland at West Oaks

This complex no longer has security and did not inform residence that they would no longer have security cameras. The grounds is also not well kept. Building 22 has had long shards of glass in the parking lot over 3 weeks as well a boarded up apartment covered in a very thin plywood. I have attached photos for reference

Harolin is leaving so 1 star for sure. I’ve been complaining about my AC for a year straight and it still isn’t properly working every time the maintenance men come in it’s another no. Here is the dates from October 7 2024 to me STILLL complaining October 9 2025 I took my previous review done per request but this one will stay until EVERYTHING is fixed — I put in a request 5 times for an AC with mold so bad they had to replace my door frame. MORE THAN 5 REQUEST WITH MOLD IN THE APARTMENT and it still fighting over my AC today my floor and ceiling was damaged during resurfacing and it’s gotten so bad that I had to call a representative to ACTUALLY get them to upgrade my apartment to the quality of the other apartments while my rent is the same is everyone else’s . I have lived here for five years and have seen two previous management companies, so I can confidently say the property has improved significantly since RPM took over. A huge thank you to the management team—Ms. Harolin, Ms. Crystal, and Ms. Talahr—for their hard work. They’ve revamped the parking system, making it much easier to find a spot near home, and completely replaced all exterior, breezeway, and staircase lighting rather than just repairing old fixtures. The apartments themselves are great, and I especially love how spacious the kitchen is. Maintenance is always prompt, and while there are occasional water leaks (common for an older complex), management always provides prior notification for repairs. Crystal is the best property manager she is the best y’all ever had she done brought this property from a zero to a hero. Talohr needs to be promoted to the assistant. Y’all need to increase funds to do more resident events we like those Crystal has been the only one doing these events! This property is great because of these two ladies.

Crystal and her front office assistant is very unprofessional. I came in very clear that I had job offer letters and bank statements. Crystal told me it would be fine and I will be approved in 48 hours and moving before Jan 31. I got approved but then she told me I could move in at the beginning of March. Because she needed my paycheck stubs... My bank statement show you that I make more and make 3.5 times the rent... I want corporate number... But she refused to give it to me...
