Park Place Apartments

Horrendous management. The apartment I had waited 2 months for was “accidentally rented” while I was in the process of applying for it. The person who rented it happened to cancel. So I gave them their money and waited for them to screen my application. One leasing agent Samantha said my background check and credit check looked “great”, another leasing agent named Ed confirmed that my income well exceeded the requirement. I had met all of the qualifications according to their documents. So it came as a total shock when after a week of waiting, Andrea informed me that I was denied. They couldn’t give me a legitimate answer as to why and wouldn’t let me speak to the “corporate” office that supposedly makes the decisions. They wouldn’t even deny my accusation of discrimination. The manager, Javier, is quick to make sure all work orders are completed in a timely manner, and keeps a very clean and tidy facility. The complex is very close to downtown Walnut Creek, and the residents are super kind. I have always had a great experience with all staff/management/on site maintenance.

My wife and I are looking for a 2 bedrooms to move from our current location. We had an appointment with Carol Tiu the leasing consultant of Park Place Apartments. Carole was exceptionally accommodating and went out of her way to give us a great tour of the apartment complex. She was courteous, smiling and full of enthusiasm. We loved some of the lay outs in certains units. One particular unit which could serve our need was not available as of yet. Carol promised to get back to us as soon as the unit becomes available. Impeccable service it was.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We were promised new appliances when we moved it and when they didn't show up or speak with us after 2 weeks I went to the office. I was asked "if I got that in writing because they were not going to replace them". Then my daughters car was stolen out of the parking garage (along with 4 others in 1 week) and none of the cameras work. So they said they'd speak with corporate and get back to us. Again, nothing happened. The office staff is very friendly when you sign up and turn rude and disrespectful after that. The office staff called me at work asking why I hadn't paid rent and that it was late? I did pay....they misplaced the check! Do not rent here...drive 15 minutes to Martinez and pay 500.00 less per month.

I never write reviews. But, I have to tell that they have very rude leasing representatives!! I called them to inquire about 2 bedroom apartment for August. Talked to MIKE, first of all it looked like he was in no mood to talk. He said there is none available. I asked if they have one for September. He bluntly replied, nobody is leaving and so no apartments for September. He did not even give me dates for any upcoming apartments nor did he mention about when I was looking or if I have flexible dates! When I inquired about 1 bedroom apartment, I got the rudest reply, "why would I ask for 1 bedroom, if I am looking for 2" . "If you want 1 bedroom, how many people are you looking for". I wonder how they do business with such talented representatives who cannot even respect or talk properly wi
