The move-in experience was not exactly what I expected, but I would like to thank the staff for carrying out the necessary maintenance work related to the apartment. Special thanks to Adeola, who coordinated the move-in and answered all my questions, and to Zulma Porter, a wonderful lady who helped me on my first day of moving in.

I lived at Park Catalina Apartments for a full year, and while the experience started off okay, it unfortunately went downhill over time. One of the biggest issues was the recurring cockroach infestations. Despite reporting the problem, pest control wasn’t consistently effective. I remember one instance where my partner and I waited in the lobby to figure out what to do for the day, and the maintenance worker went into our apartment but only stayed for a minute or two before leaving. It really seemed like he didn’t do much—if anything—to treat the infestation, and it left us feeling like the issue wasn’t taken seriously. The environment also became stressful at times due to noisy neighbors who would yell and cause disturbances. Living in an apartment facing the street added to the noise,

Update: Moved out after 2 years. Homeless person walked into my apartment TWICE! After the second time we knew we had to leave. Had several furniture delivered stolen. Went into the elevator and I saw a man (who I assume was homeless and camping in the van in front) with MY furniture walking out with it. Luckily it got refunded, but it gave me chills. I was walking my dog at night and in the bushes a man was standing in the dark and hiding. Also there is a man who frequently camps in the stairwell. After covid safety went down. There is supposed to be security, but since Covid i’ve never seen them at night. Don’t expect you car to be safe in the garages. Too many brake-ins and they don’t tell the residents.

I normally don’t leave reviews like this, but after everything my roommates and I experienced, I feel like it’s my responsibility to warn future renters: DO NOT take the risk of leasing here.
