Overton Row

So far my stay here at Overton Row has been fantastic. Front office staff is friendly and helpful. Amy the property manager was very professional and able to help me with all the questions and inquires I had. The neighborhood is very nice and the people seem friendly, traffic doesn't seem to bad compared to where I used to live. I look forward to coming home here every day, I would 100% recommend Overton Row to others looking for an apartment.

Unfortunately, my experience with the property manager at Overton Row Apartments, Amy has been extremely unprofessional while living here. Communication is often dismissive and unclear, and resident concerns are not handled with the level of care or professionalism expected from someone in a management role. Rather than feeling supported, interactions frequently fell tense and unproductive, making even routine matters unnecessarily difficult to resolve. The way issues are handled at the management level also makes the high staff turnover at this property make sense, as it appears to reflect deeper leadership and communication problems. I did a shorter lease here at Overton Row, and I’m actually so bummed to be moving! The staff is incredible, super kind. They’re very good at hosting resident events which range in a different variety of interests which I love. The apartment itself is walking distance from a lot of bars, and not a far drive from the plaza area with even more bars and stores ( walking is not far either if you don’t mind walking!) I see reviews about the fire alarms and while that was happening, they were very good at communicating what was going on while trying to fix the issue. The gym, pool, resident clubhouse have always been very clean and completely usable. They even have a dog wash station that I used for my pup and it was always clean as well! I really loved the quality of my apartment and experience

Visiting a friend here, and the three smoke detectors in the apartment went off for no reason last night at 2:00 AM, and there was no way to deactivate them. I tried calling the Overton Row emergency number and couldn't reach anyone. We had to sleep in my car all night to escape the painful noise. The smoke detectors continued blaring until 10:00 AM. Looking at other reviews for this apartment complex, it seems like fire alarms going off for no reason is an incredibly common issue here. This is completely unacceptable, and I'm encouraging my friend not to renew their lease. If you're considering living here, don't do it if you have a dog, or kids who need to get sleep for school, or a job that requires having gotten some sleep the night before. Sleep is never guaranteed here.

just moved out and wanted to come here to say that AMY the property manager is super unprofessional. very condescending and passive aggressive to staff AND residents. relies on other people to do work for her and does not communicate to residents when there are car break-ins and when there are other shady things going on (dog poop everywhere, bikes stolen, no cameras in hallways, list goes on..) i truly feel bad for the staff and residents that have to continue to put up with the laborious behavior :(
