Optimum First Mortgage

I worked with Optimum on multiple occasion and always had a wonderful experience. My most recent experience with Kimberly Rojas was excellent. The team was professional, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire loan process. Communication was consistent, timelines were met, and there were no surprises along the way.We especially appreciated their attention to detail and proactive approach — they stayed on top of everything and guided us through each step with confidence and care. I would highly recommend this mortgage company to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy lender. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again in the future.

I just refi'd my house with Jorden at Optimum and had a great experience. I bid several companies and Jorden provided the best deal. He worked hard to win our business by providing several options and was patient in walking us through the trade offs of different scenarios. He was very responsive, got back to me within hours and was always professional and a pleasure to work with. His coworker Klarisa was also very pleasant and great to work with. They made a daunting process much easier than I expected and when I comparison shopped their bid, the other bidder that I was still considering said they couldn't match what Optimum was offering. I felt like Jorden and Klarisa were partners in helping me find the best deal that worked for my circumstances. I highly recommend them.

TL;DR: Optimum’s inexperience with our loan structure and poor payoff execution combined with lack of accountability cost us ~$800 in unnecessary interest. The only reason this isn’t 1-star is that their staff remained polite, courteous and responsive throughout. Context: Our refinance was somewhat uncommon - the home was originally purchased using a securities-backed line of credit rather than a traditional mortgage. Why we chose Optimum: We contacted Optimum after seeing very competitive rates on Bankrate. Other lenders we spoke with immediately understood our structure, but Optimum revised the rate right after a hard check was completed due to their lack of understanding of Texas state law.
